Kenner police arrest suspected online child predator

Kenner police have arrested a Texas man on charges of using the Internet to arrange a sexual encounter with a detective posing as an underage girl.

Pat Malone Terry Jr., 36, of Kilgore, Texas, was arrested Monday when he arrived in Kenner at the designated location with 22 grams of marijuana he allegedly intended to share with the girl, detective Brian McGregor said.He said Terry logged into an online chat room Monday and began a sexually explicit dialogue with a detective posing as an underage girl.
Terry, who used the screen name "waterboyforyou2000," used a Web cam to send video of himself masturbating and asked to meet for sex, saying he would bring marijuana for the girl, McGregor said.
Police said Terry arrived at the designated meeting location in Kenner less than three hours after he initiated the online dialogue.
Terry, who told police he was in the area visiting relatives in LaPlace and Lutcher, was booked with computer aided solicitation of a juvenile, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and two counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
He is the 49th suspect arrested by Kenner police on computer solicitation charges since 2005.

Slidell man on trial in woman's death

A 47-year-old Slidell man defending himself this week against a charge of first-degree murder says he's fighting for his life.
Virgil "Scoop" Smith

But many people would say Virgil "Scoop" Smith has nothing left to lose. Smith already has received two life sentences for crimes he committed while in jail awaiting the current trial. This week, he is on trial in Covington in connection with the death of a 25-year-old woman who had persuaded his wife to leave him. On March 16, 2001, two days after his wife, Lori, informed him that she had filed for divorce, Chanda Ladner was found dead in her Slidell area home. Ladner had helped his wife escape his constant physical and emotional abuse, according to various court testimony Tuesday.

Tugboat operators involved in collision not properly licensed

Three tugs hold in place another tug following a collision between a tugboat and an oil tanker on the Mississippi River which spilled hundreds of thousands of gallons of fuel oil in the river Wednesday, July 23,2008.

The Coast Guard says no one was properly licensed aboard a tugboat that hit a tanker early Wednesday, causing hundreds of thousands of gallons of fuel oil to spill into the Mississippi River.
Coast Guard spokesman Stephen Lehmann in New Orleans says the tugboat operator had an apprentice mate's license, and no one else on the vessel had any license to drive the boat on the river. To pilot a tugboat, the operator should have had a master's license, Lehmann said.
The Coast Guard says the revelation is part of an in-depth investigation into Wednesday's collision. The name of the tugboat operator has not been released. Meanwhile, Admiral Joel Whitehead, who commands the 8th Coast Guard District, covering much of the southern United States, has initiated a personal investigation of the collision.
A 58-mile stretch of the Mississippi River could remain closed for days because of the collision, after a tanker collided with a barge being pulled by a tugboat, slicing the barge in half and causing hundreds of thousands of gallons of heavy fuel oil to spill into the waterway.
No injuries were reported in the collision, but the heavy smell of fuel has continued to plague the French Quarter and other parts of the city.
The Coast Guard said that it had extended the closure area to 58 miles to as far south as Port Sulphur in Plaquemines Parish. Ships are being told not to enter the mouth of the river at Southwest Pass unless they have business south of river closure area, the Coast Guard said. Oil has been spotted to mile 60 around Point a la Hache area.
The Coast Guard is still investigating the cause of the incident. Captains of the tugboat and the tanker have been tested for drug and alcohol use, but the Coast Guard is not releasing any specifics until its investigation is complete.
In the meantime, state environmental officials are coordinating a massive effort to consolidate the oil and prevent it from drifting farther south, where there are more levee breaks that would allow it to leach into the wetlands.

NOLA Rapper Sporty T Murdered

This has to stop another Father, Brother, Son, Uncle, Cousin and Influence in NOLA Bounce Music is dead; murdered senselessly. Life is so sweet and precious why must we take life for granted? I go back to the question, how can one sleep at night after taking another human being life? He was murdered while sleeping in his trailer wow this crazy. How can the assailants sleep tonight?

A man hangs his head in a truck next to a bullet-riddled FEMA trailer in the 5100 block of Painters Street in Gentilly where Terence Vine was shot to death early Tuesday morning. Vine, a local rapper known as "Sporty T," was asleep inside the trailer when unknown gunmen shot into the side of the trailer with an assault rifle, killing Vine .

Well the First 48 season has me occupied for the next few Tuesday's. I get so excited when the criminal gets caught, what a dork I am. I don't know I think that the stop snitching rule is whack. If you do the crime man up and take your charge.
On tonight episode a Haitian 36 yrs old women was murdered with her kids in the car. A young man is shot after walking up to the wrong car with the wrong idiots occupying it.
Time is crazy for me the semester is about to start and I try to make ends meet whatever way I can so I tutor a sweet little girl for an hour and 15 minutes 3 days out of the week I'm a versatile intelligent hustler. I want be posting much for the next few weeks.

Man Wanted In Shooting Death Of 17 year Old Girlfriend

New Orleans Police are searching for a 22-year-old man they say shot and killed his 17-year-old girlfriend early Wednesday morning inside of his home in the 2100 block of Franklin Avenue.




Video: Watch the Story According to Assistant Superintendent Marlon Defillo, witnesses said the couple had been arguing for some time when Williams armed himself with a shotgun and shot his girlfriend in the torso.


Williams is being sought on charges of second-degree murder. Defillo said police believe he is in the Mid-City area.

When Does It End Love Our Women & Don't Hurt Them. This sickens me to the core of my soul. How can one sleep at night after doing something like this to anther human being. Hearing another woman’s cry for help and doing nothing at all how can you sleep? There are just no words for this. A 20 year old young lady was brutally ganged raped and sexually assaulted by three men in Philadelphia, PA. She lives on the first floor apartment of a converted row house and the brutal attack lasted for four hours and came to an end when the assailants left with whatever little money the young woman had. Someone heard her screams and did nothing but go to sleep.

Another disturbing article I read that happen in July 07.

A women was rape and beaten then to make matters worse her son was also beaten and had to hear his mother cries for help in WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. The article states that the mother 35 years old and her son 12 years old huddled scared and beaten in a bathroom wondering why no one came to help. Neighbors had to hear there screams through walls but did not do anything. For three hours 10 masked teenagers rape the women and bet her son. A crime is a crime whatever the nature of it maybe, it's a big deal to the victim as well as women in the world that can be a potential victim of this type of crime, I wonder if she's taken the time to imagine that being her or someone close to her. I'm a survivor of an unthinkable crime and know how it feels to live in fear. I'm not a victim I'm a survivor. What I mean by this is I’m stronger than the day an idiot decided to play his own game of Russian roulette with my life. Notice I say survivor; because I'm a survivor not a victim I would never give the imbecile the gratification. The memory and pain never goes away. Somthing else that does not go away is the scar that reminds you every day of how one human being can be such a detriment to another.

WHEN a 15-year-old girl at Gloucester high school in Massachusetts discovered she was pregnant earlier this year, she displayed no trace of fear or concern. Shown the results of her pregnancy test, she responded: “Sweet!” She then rushed off to tell her friends.
The girl was among a group of up to 18 Gloucester teenagers who may have made an apparent “pregnancy pact” that has stunned this decaying fishing community and sparked a renewed national debate about sex education in American schools.
The notion that girls as young as 14 might deliberately try to become pregnant has embarrassed school and health officials. It has also ignited a row about what exactly the girls were up to, and to what extent the religious beliefs of this predominantly white and Catholic corner of New England may have encouraged an unprecedented spike in teenage sexual activity.
In Gloucester last week, there was both shame and scorn as officials questioned the nature of the “pact” and teenagers shrugged their shoulders at a scandal that many seemed to view as the inevitable consequence of growing up bored.
Most worrying for other parents across the country is the mounting evidence that after 15 years of declining national teen pregnancy rates, the problem is returning. A recently released government study found that the number of teenagers who said they had used a condom the last time they had sex dropped from 63% in 2005 to 61% last year.

What in the HE double L is going on in the world? Where are the books for these kids to read when there bored? Where are the parents when these young girls or getting it on, not criticizing the parents because there's a million in one way to get the good stress reliever stick (I WAS A TENNY BOPPER BEFORE No I'm was not a sex craze teenager I just knew how to get away with thing my parents till this day don't know anything about he he), but are there any contraception and sex ed in these young girls lives.This needs to be back in full force at these school. Kids having Kids this is nothing new in the community I grew up in but the girl never had a path they just did not know when it was time to get off of the good before it was too late. Babies are popping up everywhere everyone wants to be pregnant. How many are going to be good mothers that the question. Anyone can bring life into the world but to take on the job of being a parent is a full pledge job some are not cut out for.

I think that this woman is amazing and shows that you can go where your dreams inspire and be anything you want to be (I know that sounds Corny)but she smart and down to earth. Tyra doesn't care what you think of her, she's going to be herself flaws and all sheer individuality. I haven't watch her show in a while because my boss took the TV from out of the office. I used to and she's funny and reminds me of that down to earth relative that's older than you, that understands you without judgments and always there to talk. I think she on her way to the top I don't think she's trying to be the next Oprah she's just trying to make her mark in history as Tyra Banks the woman who proves you can beat the odds and be successful in what ever career you may choose.

Regardless to what people say about him he's a talented man that's on everything I here on the radio and net. He's the buzz there so many track to name that I like off of the Carter 3 the beats scream at cha and to add on he say the craziest metaphor's ever. I dig how he switch up and change his rap style.
